About Us
The Main Branch is a reference to software development: As new code is added to a program, it is first added in a temporary ‘branch’ as it’s developed and tested. When the product team is satisfied that there are no bugs or defects, the side
branch is merged into the main branch and the original side branch is deleted. We like this practice as a metaphor for progress in general, and strive to always maintain the highest standard of quality in our main branch.
We focus on product strategy and custom solutions, and we stand out from the rest of the industry in three notable areas: Our people, our philosophy, and our processes.
Our People
It’s no accident this is first on our list. There’s no humble way to say this, but The Main Branch’s success is a direct result of the talent and ingenuity of our team. We are passionate, curious, accountable, creative, and direct. We learn and we adapt. We seek out challenges and we look for new solutions. We experiment and test, we explore and we achieve. We fail fast, we iterate, we optimize. We are the team your competitors wish they had. You can call us corporate misfits if you like, and we might even agree with you
Our Process
Ideate. Prototype. Test. Iterate. That’s it. No red tape or resource politics here. We’re one team with one direction. A vector to market leadership.
Our Philosophy
Is quite succinct. Do more with less, by developing original solutions and finding new applications for existing technology. Our goal is faster, better, cheaper. Some of our organizational values that get us there are:

So what have we accomplished?
Pretty amazing stuff, actually. We invented a way to identify a single cow in a herd using their bone structure and facial features. That’s unheard of. We created a potato AI model detecting grade, weight, and count at 95% accuracy in four days. That’s unheard of. We found a cost-effective way of detecting plant count and emergence off of irrigation pivots. That’s unheard of. Oh, and we have access to great synthetic 3D data.
We’ll point you to our partner company synetic.com for the full rundown on synthetic data, but here’s the TLDR: AI models consist of the set of probabilities that two concepts are related. “Horse” and “Sleeping” should be highly correlated if the model is applied to video data of a horse sleeping. It takes a lot of image data to train that model, and sometimes the available images aren’t enough. So we have an exclusive partnership with Synetic to create data out of imagination. We train all of our AI models with this proprietary method of creating synthetic 3D data. It’s faster, it’s cheaper, and the best part: it’s more accurate. We really are doing something no one else is doing. Let’s do it together.
