Truckers must comply with various regulations, from vehicle inspections to understanding the rules for operating trucks with trailers and heavy loads. However, existing tools often fall short in meeting all their compliance and tracking needs.
One significant challenge faced by trucking companies is reconciling trip records between their truckers and logistics companies. While truckers were manually recording their trips on handwritten forms and submitting them weekly, administrators were tasked with converting this data into spreadsheets and cross-referencing it with logistics company records. This process was not only time-consuming but also prone to errors, creating inefficiencies for both drivers and administrative teams.
Safety Compliance Solutions (SCS), a trucking software company specializing in compliance tools, addressed this issue with a new Trip Tracking feature. Collaborating with The Main Branch in 2024, SCS developed an intuitive tool for truck drivers in the field. The new feature allows drivers to:
Select their starting location and destination.
Track trip duration and mileage in real time.
Automatically log trip data directly into the system.
For administrators, the tool provides real-time data about truckers’ locations and progress, eliminating the need for manual data entry and simplifying the reconciliation process with logistics companies.

The Main Branch exists to develop technical solutions for business problems. That doesn’t mean we don’t believe in giving back. 4-H is a not-for-profit organization that most of the US is familiar with. With 1 million chapters across all 50 states, 4-H’s mission is to assist in the development of children who are responsible, respectful, and meaningful members of their community. From STEM programs to agriculture, 4-H is the largest youth organization in America.
Our involvement with 4-H was to develop a show management platform to reduce friction in the horse program and encourage new membership. Our pro bono solution for the quarterly horse show enabled online registration, class management, and results sharing, while adhering to strict rules and allowing manual overrides. We’ve been named a Friend of 4-H and continue to consult on tech projects as they update their systems.
